TANTRA, YOGA AND DESIRE

Carlos Pomeda conducts workshops, seminars, and retreats worldwide, sharing his insights into yoga, meditation, and the wisdom of the Indian traditions.
He is a highly respected yoga teacher and scholar, known for his profound knowledge of Indian philosophy and the yoga tradition. With over 50 years of practice and study, Carlos blends his monastic experience as a former Swami of the Saraswati order with his academic background, holding two Master’s Degrees in Sanskrit and Religious Studies.
Carlos’s teaching style is celebrated for its clarity, depth, and relatability. He brings ancient yoga teachings to life in a way that is accessible, meaningful, and transformative. Bringing meditation to life - expertly guided practice in group sessions, discussions, questions and answers. Suitable for beginner and experienced practitioners alike.
 
3. Session 3 - Sunday 16th November 9.30-12.30
Mantra meditation - practice traditional forms of mantra meditations, working with the breath, and the powerful tantric mantra “haṃsa” Mantra is perhaps the simplest and most accessible, yet enormously powerful meditation technique. A practical workshop to enable practitioners of all levels of experience to find something valuable

MONTHLY ANUSARA CLASS SERIES

 
 Each month we will begin a new series of classes that are focused on building skills and capability in the Anusara Yoga method.
The classes will be 60-minute mixed level. Each week we will build upon the foundation that was laid before to give your body and mind the opportunity to really open to the possibility of achieving a new yoga pose.
A key aspect of Anusara Yoga philosophy will be explored in each monthly masterclass series.

We can harness its energy for release, reflection, and intention setting. It can be a time of heightened energy, making it a good time to release what no longer serves you and to reflect on your goals. 

It's also an opportunity to deepen your yoga practice through restorative movement and meditation.

Somatic Movement

3 November

This is a great class for beginners and to get you moving again. No experience necessary. Class will be seated on a chair and lying on the floor. Suitable for seniors. 

In-person in Christchurch,

Mondays 11-12noon

 Based in the Movingness technique the promise of somatic movement is that you can restore your body to reduce pain and increase pleasure. In many cases, you can feel just as good in a body with a history as you can in a young body.
